A great opportunity exists for an outgoing logistics professional to join our team. This position will be based at our Tennyson site.
The Logistics Manager – Queensland is responsible for the management and supervision of all supply chain functions for factory warehouses and a distribution centre located in Queensland.
In this position you will be responsible for:
· Developing and enforcing of OHS&E and Chain of Responsibility procedures and policies.
· Ensuring that all employees and transport providers adhere to GMP and HACCP requirements.
· Managing inventory including cycle counts, recording, receipt and despatch.
· Ensuring timely investigations and resolutions to customer complaints.
· Standardising processes in line with corporate and national requirements.
· Managing transport allocation and pallet pooling (Chep and Loscam) accounts.
· Providing monthly analysis and reports on the Queensland supply chain activities.
· Coordinating 3PL providers relating to Queensland’s warehouses and distribution centre.
To be successful in the position you will posses:
· An understanding of transport industry safety legislation
· Knowledge of pallet pooling systems
· Exceptional planning, organising and decision making skills
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (SAP experience is desirable)
· Experience in supply chain / warehousing is a must
· Tertiary qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
