A great opportunity exists for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the North Fremantle site.

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to manage the maintenance function and to improve plant reliability and efficiency in the most cost efficient manner. This includes scheduling and rolling out the preventative maintenance as well as attending to breakdowns as they occur.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·          Assisting in maintenance budget preparation for the site

·          Ensuring all equipment operates within environmental guidelines

·          Maintaining all equipment so that it is safe to operate and compliant with Plant Safety Regulations

·          Preparing of reports on the status and activities of the maintenance area

·          Ensuring consistency with the requirements of ISO 9002 and HACCP

·          Preparing of capital expense applications and co-ordination of site projects

·          Leading and motivating the maintenance team

The essential skills and attributes for this role are:

·          Excellent decision making and organisational skills

·          Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

·          ‘Hands on’ engineering ability

·          Experience in maintenance and/or engineering management

·          Experience working in the food industry

·          Trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields
