Location: Yatala QLD
Reporting to: National Assets Manager
An opportunity exists for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Yatala site. This site has two separate state of the art frozen bakery product lines and produces frozen food products such as donuts and par bake artisan bread for a nation-wide client base.
This is an autonomous role responsible for providing and coordinating maintenance activities to improve plant reliability, efficiency and reduce costs where possible. In addition, this role will be actively involved with the site’s project and commissioning team on a variety of projects and initiatives.
As the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the hands-on day-to-day management of the maintenance function at the site. This will include implementing standardised preventative, corrective and condition based maintenance whilst ensuring effective cost control and best use of contractors.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Managing mechanical and electrical break downs

Monitoring equipment performance and reliability and proactively managing any issues.

Performing some maintenance activities where required.

Ensuring compliance with OH&S, ISO 9001 and HACCP quality management system requirement

Reporting on the status and activities of maintenance activities at the site

Coordinating and managing contractors/suppliers and spare parts

Monitoring maintenance spend against budget.

Ensuring all equipment is safe to operate
The successful applicant will have:
-
Strong communication/interpersonal skills
-
PLC/ Electronics knowledge/exposure
-
Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

At least 5 years maintenance management experience/3 years engineering management preferably in food industry

Trade qualifications in mechanical engineering or other relevant field
