National Procurement Manager 

 
Location:    Rhodes

An opportunity exists for an experienced procurement professional to join our team at the Rhodes Head Office.

The National Procurement Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the procurement team who operate in a complex multi-site environment. This will include the development and implementation of the procurement strategic plan for all categories (directs and indirects).

 Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Leading strategic negotiations and securing the best competitive arrangements with suppliers.

·         Ensuring procurement controls are in place to protect the Company in the supply and pricing aspects.

·         In conjunction with the quality team, ensuring that ingredient suppliers have quality assurance systems in place.

·         Analysing, reviewing and reporting on ingredient costs on a quarterly and month basis.

·         Standardising the procurement processes to continuously improve efficiency.

·         Reviewing of the procurement policies to ensure Company needs and requirements are met.

 

 To be successful in this position, you will ideally posses:

·         Advanced interpersonal, project management and negotiation skills

·         Superior analytical, conceptual and communications skills

·         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP 

·         Experience in procurement management preferably in FMCG, food or high volume manufacturing environment

·         Experience with procurement of ingredients and packaging would be highly regarded

·         Tertiary qualifications in business or supply chain preferable
