An opportunity exists for a seasoned supply chain professional to join our team based at the Rhodes Head Office.

As the National Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the S&OP and transport planning teams. These teams consist of eight direct reports who administer the day-to-day S&OP and transport planning.

In this position you will oversee the completion and execution of all planning activities and ensure that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. In addition to the day-to-day management, you will focus on continuous improvement and you will make recommendations on the standardising and enhancement of the S&OP process.

More specifically, this position will monitor and manage:

·         Overall sales and operations planning activities and processes.

·         Demand planning activities including information management in the SAP-APO environment.

·         Production planning activities for all nine manufacturing sites including the management of MIFOT and reduction plans for overtime.

·         Transport planning and coordination of all customers’ deliveries with a focus on continuous improvement of the delivery performance.

·         Vendor management including communication of forecasts, monitoring deliveries and product quality as well as the management and escalation of vendor issues to the procurement and logistics teams.

·         Analysis and reporting on all activities to the Leadership Team.

To be successful in this position you will have:

·         Superior planning, organisational and project management skills

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP 

·         Experience in S&OP, demand and transport planning

·         Experience in FMCG, food or high volume manufacturing environment preferable

·         Tertiary qualification in logistics or business highly regarded
