Location: North Fremantle

An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Assurance Manger to join our team in North Fremantle.

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the ISO/HACCP/Food safety accreditation and to ensure products comply with defined specifications through effective management of the sites QC laboratory, performance of QC testing and conducting quality audits. There are two direct reports to this role that assist with the sites quality assurance.

The role includes but is not limited to:

·          Managing the site QC Laboratory

·          Maintaining the food safety program based on HACCP

·          Coordinating and conducting internal audits

·          Conducting investigations into product failures and complaints

·          Performing product testing

·          Monitoring and reporting on product compliance to specifications

·          Managing product hold and release

To be successful in this position you will need:

·          Excellent communication skills

·          Strong planning and organizational skills

·          Ability to work unsupervised and mange a small team

·          Food industry and/or quality systems experience

·          Tertiary qualification in food science, cereal chemistry or similar
